Saptashrungi Mata is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, located amidst the scenic seven mountain peaks near Vani in Nashik district, Maharashtra. The name Saptashrungi literally means seven peaks, symbolizing divine protection and spiritual strength. Goddess Saptashrungi Nivasini, an incarnation of Adi Shakti, is worshipped here as the destroyer of evil and the giver of blessings, prosperity, and courage.
The temple is believed to be mentioned in ancient Hindu scriptures such as the Markandeya Purana, making it a site of great mythological and spiritual importance. The idol of the Goddess, carved on a natural rock face, is adorned with sindoor and depicted with 18 hands, each holding a divine weapon, representing supreme power and protection.
Surrounded by lush hills and breathtaking valleys, Saptashrungi Mata Temple offers a peaceful and divine atmosphere for devotees and nature lovers alike.
